IN 'N Out is not just a California Burger
Thinking about what's afoot now in our lives both at work and home, there seem to be some obvious lines being drawn to delineate what's going to work and what's now so pre-pandemic that it has neither wing nor prayer.
In
Letting people actually take their vacations or holidays.
More compassionate treatment of co-workers
Come as you are. Just. Please. Come Baaack!!!
Remorse over cuts made way too deep in workforces.
Workers who now say, "Wait. What was I doing that job for?"
Reinvention
Making it up
Kids, dogs, cats and personal possessions visible in our zoom meetings
A I that's now getting so prolific it's scaring us
Greater appreciation for health and privacy and dominion over our bodies.
Out
Ultimatums
Controlling one's temper (unfortunately)
Sacrificing too much quality time to ensure office face time
Treating staff as expendable units of production
Dressing just slightly better than your clients as a show of respect. (We're now grateful that people bother to dress to come on camera)
Thinking that things will go back to "normal"
Assuming we will travel for meetings
Customer service
Voicemail, apparently.
Write to me and lemme know what's on your list of 2022 observations.
