About My Consulting Approach

I connect with my clients through enlisting my personal strengths:

  • Connectedness,

  • Deep listening,

  • Flexibility

  • Adopting a non-judgmental stance in order to really see the client.

I love connecting disparate ideas to add clarity, or help my client clarify their own thinking and build out ideas collaboratively. Magic! I love seeing the lightbulbs illuminate in people's faces when they know we've hit upon some juicy breakthrough thinking. Moments when you tap into another level of consciousness, collectively, are the absolute sweetest things.

About My Background

I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, known as the city of bridges (hence my home page photo). My undergrad degree is from Chatham University in Pittsburgh. I then earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. My first career was in investment banking as a public finance specialist. Tumultuous market changes were the catalyst for me to put one shaky foot onto a new bridge where I soon discovered far more fulfilling work on the other side -- in the land of learning and development.

About My Coaching

I am an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator - and can help you:

  • Understand your cultural worldview,

  • See where this may or may not be having the impact you want, and

  • Guide you toward increasing your capacity to relate to people culturally different from yourself. I'm on this journey too. Grateful for every opportunity to work and live outside the US as it reflected my home culture back to me in an important new light.

As an executive coach, I work with

a Stakeholder-Centered method as one of many approaches.

  1. I start with the end in mind -- by looking for the best way to achieve the client's unique desired outcome.  Let's gauge your progress by calibrating it with the expectations of the people you're impacting. When they say you've changed, you can be pretty darn sure you've actually changed!

  2. Tools like Strengths Finder, FIRO-B, and a client's proprietary assessments are great, but good old fashioned 360 interviews work just fine to establish the origin point.

  3. Then it's all about getting from here, your baseline, to there. I'll help you make sense of feedback, be your accountability partner, and act as your biggest cheerleader in the process.
